Calder Drama Society - The West Island Way

The West Island Way is a gentle comedy set in the quiet little village of Lachiemore situated on the Inner Hebridean island of Eileana. It is centred round a small general store owned by Moira MacNeill who is assisted in her daily chores by her daughter Margaret. She also owns the surrounding land including the Bay. Jessie Ormand, her sister, is her constant companion and keeps her company in the shop. Now widowed, Jessie owns the Pier from where her small fleet of fishing boats are moored. The peace of the village is soon to be shattered by rumours abounding regarding the interest shown by Scotia Oils. The village way of life would be in danger should she sell her land.
